This award-winning restaurant in Yealmpton, near Plymouth, brings a touch of harbour to the village. The converted barn, lies just opposite the renowned Rose and Crown and is bedecked with some stunning sea-themed artwork which are complemented by the cool, whitewashed walls and crisp linen tablecloths. Our Head Chef Anton Piotrowski, proudly presents a menu which reflects the restaurant's two AA rosettes and which is sure to satisfy all tastes, from the absolute fish lover to those who prefer meat dishes. There is of course a strong emphasis on fresh local shellfish and seafood which are often caught locally from Brixham or Looe when possible. The menu features a range of local produce and changes regularly to complement the seasons' best. To start, try the oven-baked mackerel or tian of tartare salmon. The main course choices include 'The Seafood Assiette', cod, grey mullet, bream or roasted lamb. To finish off a fantastic meal, choose from a selection of home-made desserts including the popular Prune and Armagnac soufflé, sticky toffee pudding or iced lemon mousse. There is a small bar area for pre-dinner drinks if you choose, which is well stocked and offers an excellent wine list of over 40 wines. |
